Harkidun is a valley of God.HarKiDun winter trek, set in the vicinity of the KedarKanthaTrek, snakes through a pretty valley dotted with villages that boast of unseen Himachaliarchitecture. The trek eventually takes the trekkers through forests of chestnut, walnut, & willow trees.HarKiDoonValley is a cradle-shaped hanging valley in the Garhwal Himalayas. It is surrounded by snow-covered peaks and alpine vegetation. It is connected to BaspaValley by the BorasuValley. It is located at the base of FatehParvat. This valley is at an altitude of approx 3500m above mean sea level and is snow-covered from October to March.

Local legend has it that Yudhishthira(one of the Pandavas from the Hindu composition called Mahabharata) scaled this peak of Swargarohinihis’s way to Heaven. Swargarohinigoverns Har-ki-dun peaks.

Harkin, situated at an elevation of 3566 meters is surrounded by glittering peaks and dense forests. The forests are rich in wildlife and are a veritable paradise for bird-watchers and nature lovers. HarKiDun valley considered as “Valley of Gods” and acts as a base for approaching Swargarohini(6400 meters). Swargarohiniand JaundarGlacier located towards the south-east of Har-ki-dun. Towards the west one can see the Bandar_Punch_mountain.
